carry out.

Baby, you’re lookin’ fire hot
I’ll have you open all night like an IHOP
I take you home baby let you keep me company
You gimme some of you, I give you some of me

You look good, baby must taste heavenly
I’m pretty sure that you got your own recipe
So pick it up, pick it up, yeah I like you
I just can’t get enough I got to drive through

Cause is me, you, you, me, me, you all night
Have it your way, foreplay
Before I feed you appetite

Let me get my ticket baby, let me get it line
I can tell the way you like it, baby, supersized
Hold on, you got yours, let me get mine
I ain’t leavin’ till they turn over the closed sign

Check it

Take my order cause your body like a
carry out
Let me walk into your body until you
hear me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out

Take my order cause your body like a
carry out
Let me walk into your body till it’s
lights out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out

Number one, I take two number three’s
That’s a whole lot of you and a side of me.
Now is it full of myself to want you full of me?
And if there’s room for dessert then I want a piece

Baby get my order right, no errors
Imma touch you in all the right areas
I could feed you, you could feed me
Girl, deliver that to me, come see me

Cause is me, you, you, me, me, you all night
Have it your way, foreplay
Before I feed you appetite

Do you like it well done, cause I do it well
http://www.elyricsworld.com/carry_out_lyrics_timbaland_feat._justin_timberlake.html
Cause I’m well seasoned if you couldn’t tell
Now let me walk into your body until you hear me out
And turn me on, my baby, dont you cut me out

Say

Take my order cause your body like a
carry out
Let me walk into your body until you
hear me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out

Take my order cause your body like a
carry out
Let me walk into your body till it’s
lights out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out

What’s your name?
What’s your number?
I’m glad I came
Can you take my order?

What’s your name?
Girl, what’s your number?
I’m glad I came
Can you take my order?

Come over here (what’s your name?)
Come closer (what’s your number?)
I’m over here (I’m glad I came)
A little closer (can you take my order?)

Come over here (what’s your name?)
Come closer (what’s your number?)
I’m over here (I’m glad I came)
A little closer (can you take my order?)

Take my order cause your body like a
carry out
Let me walk into your body until you
hear me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out
Turn me on, my baby dont you
cut me out

Take my order cause your body like a

Let me walk into your body till it’s

paul mccarthy

I know that most of you have probably watched this video..if you havnt i highly suggest viewing this epic journey of insanity.  I cant pin down exactly what it is that draws me to this video over and over again but after this last time watching it i have decided that it is one of the most relevant art performances for me at this moment in my life and also one of the most relevant critiques of art in general.  Paul McCarthy is known for his wild and disgusting videos and personalities and to some they seem a bit overt but i think quite oppositely,  that the subtlety is genius.  He is an artist in which i have the utmost respect for.
I believe that his depiction of an artist in this video is exactly how i feel about my place in the art world.  When i am making art or whatever it is i do I feel that i am a fumbling, bumbling idiot doing things in a subconscious series of actions.  I feel that a lot of the traditional mediums are outdated and painting is one of them that i constantly feel this about.  When making things i tend to use anything as a medium, often grabbing for things that arent considered artistic tools/mediums and also try to use them in non-traditional ways.  Somehow i feel it more pure for me to grab a bag of chips and use my vibrator to draw with the grease than to grab a brush and stroke.   Also, in this performance his actions and messiness seem perfectly sexual and to reach a harmonious perverse actuality.  Paul McCarthy is it.  He is now.  Tell me your thoughts/feelings/horrors.

Girl you make me wanna get you pregnant,
Girl you make me wanna get you pregnant,
Lay your body down and get you pregnant,
Knock you up, pregnant, Knock you up

Can you believe I’m in the club with a girl who has a man,
And take her to the hotel for just a one night stand,
See I’m a playa so I ain’t tryna take her on no dates,
To much like my patrone man I’m just tryna take it straight,
Untill I met this girl in the club with an unbelievable booty,
Sweetest girl in the world and I mean it and on top of that shes a cutie,
I ain’t seen nothing like her around here in a while,
And if I had a girl she’d be the one to bear my child,
Telling myself I’m a playa so I keep tryna shake it off,
But I keep on seeing this big old house with a picket fence and a dog,
Never felt nothing like this,
Shes more than a mistress enough to handle my business,
Now put that girl in my kitchen,

Girl you make me wanna get you pregnant,
That’s what I told her,
Girl you make me wanna get you pregnant,
Lay your body down and get you pregnant,
Like you are,
Knock you up, pregnant,

All the pretty ladies please line up right next to me,
How would you like to go on a little trip with your boy Tyrese,
Raise your hand if you want me to fulfill your fantasy,
I can hide your co-star and get in one of my new wiis,
Tell me what your name is,
I can make you famous,
We can pop champagne and get right down to sexing,
Now I ain’t got nothing to do tonight I gotta wait for my crew,
I just wanna put some in you,
And I can tell that you want it too,
And I’m ready babe,
And your ready babe,
So let’s go get out of this club,
Kel’s and Rys after party,
You can F*** with us,

Girl you make me wanna get you pregnant,
Girl you make me wanna get you pregnant,
Lay your body down and get you pregnant,
Knock you up, pregnant.

"War is Menstrual Envy"

I am currently reading this book which i would recommend to anyone who is interested in underground film, post-punk or No Wave scenes. I have been struggling to find my voice, if I have one at all, in film and this book is really enlightening for those who want to contribute to the "other" cinema.

i found this to be one of the most profound and relevant things i have thought about in a while...especially concerning my recent body of work and interests:

"Sexuality tends to receive its representation in terms of the immoral precisely because of the fact that it is dialectically perceived as having a tendency to expose inter relationships between and within people, rather than differences."

November 2009

Second-Floor is pleased to present SWF Seeks Same, a group exhibition featuring Vanessa Albury, Cara Benedetto, Catherine Czacki, Jamie Diamond, Kathryn Garcia, Melissa Greenberg, Matt Greene, Nadja Verena Marcin, Natalie Rodgers, Geogia Sagri and Dena Yago. The exhibition will take place in two parts and features a number of new collaborative works that delve into obsession and the double.

The exhibition was originally inspired by the 1992 film “Single White Female”, starring Bridget Fonda as “Allie” and Jennifer Jason Leigh as her roommate “Hedy”. While living together Allie quickly becomes the object of Hedy’s obsession-not only does Hedy appropriate Allie’s clothes (initially at her suggestion), but she also assumes her name and identity. Their relationship falls apart, however, when Hedy's obsession quickly turns into psychotic behavior, pointing to the fragile relationship between the subject's identity and that which she desires. The artists in SWF Seeks Same not only consider the rupture between subject and object, but also the ways in which identity can be projected, consumed and replicated.

The concept behind the movie Single White Female is one that is quite simple yet relevant. I wanted to create a narrative with a similar theme in which the subject on the right of the screen is obsessed with the subject on the left of the screen. What i was more interested in was creating a subtle dichotomy between the copy-cat and the subject. The copy-cat is copying someone who reveals themselves as having a mask underneath the mask thus revealing that their goal is both unattainable and delusional-like most identity driven goals. Also, i thought it more important to have a gender-less narrative.

what a drag

The other night i went to a screening/lecture of Jack Smiths Flaming Creatures. Although I have seen the film many times im always up for another go. Although many issues are always brought up when watching his films I found that after watching this film in a different context and state I feel as if no real issues were addressed and it was more of a state of mind that was achieved. The man giving the lecture did, however, make me think of such things....Should I be offended that men are playing women? The rape scene seems a bit lighthearted.....I cant deny the fact that he has created a culture that i am in awe and adoration of...drag culture would not have been the same without jack. I am curious to know your thoughts on his work and anything else you have to say to me as well.

amazing.

blood and roses

In the film, the vampress's 18th century spirit (Mircalla) possesses a 20th century woman (Carmilla Von Karnstein, played by Annette Vadim), then through her body pursues the man they both love (her Von Karnstein cousin, played by Mel Ferrer). Together, Mircalla/Carmilla seduce, drain of blood, and kill Ferrer's finacée (Georgia, played by Elsa Martinelli), hence a tepid lesbian scene.

Epileptic Seizure Comparison

Epileptic Seizure Comparison [1976, 16mm, color, sound, 34 min]

"Epileptic Seizure Comparison" (1976) is one of Sharits' most elaborate and violent installations. Sharits writes: "Seizure Comparison is an attempt to orchestrate sound and light rhythms in an intimate and proportional space, an ongoing location wherein non-epileptic persons may begin to experience, under 'controlled conditions'É the majestic potentials of convulsive seizure."

I once had a leather jacket that got ruined in the rain. Why does moisture ruin leather? Aren't cows outside a lot of the time? When it's raining, do cows go up to the farmhouse, "Let us in! We're all wearing leather! Open the door! We're going to ruin the whole outfit here!"

CLLICKKKCK!K

I ran into an awesome human last night whom i had not seen in a long time. Ryder Ripps, a brilliant human and artist clued me in on his newest project: Internet Archaeology.
According to the mission statement:
Internet Archaeology seeks to explore, recover, archive and showcase the graphic artifacts found within earlier Internet Culture. Established in 2009, the chief purpose of Internet Archaeology is to preserve these artifacts and acknowledge their importance in understanding the beginnings and birth of an Internet Culture. We focus on graphic artifacts only, with the belief that images are most culturally revealing and immediate. Most of the files in our archive are in either JPG or GIF format and are categorized by either still or moving image, they are then arranged in various thematic subcategories. Currently, a major focus of Internet Archaeology is on the archiving and indexing of images found on Geocities websites, as their existence has been threatened by parent company Yahoo; who plans to discontinue the service by October 26, 2009. Internet Archaeology is an ongoing effort which puts preservation paramount. Unlike traditional archaeology, where physical artifacts are unearthed; Internet Archaeology's artifacts are digital, thus more temporal and transient. Yet we believe that these artifacts are no less important than say the cave paintings of Lascaux. They reveal the origins of a now ubiquitous Internet Culture; showing where we have been and how far we have come. Internet Archaeology was founded by Ryder Ripps, who currently acts as the curator at large.

I am so gratefully happy that Ryder has decided to take on this huge and necessary project. We take advantage of the fact that the internet is so fast and evolutionary. We forget that the internet was created by humans and I for one, would hope that the things that i have posted, created, and discovered from the internet were not forgotten..i am thinking of doing an archaeological dig of my own internet history. Thanks Ryder and i look forward to seeing the future of the history!
